We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer. You will manage the cloud infrastructure and lead the technological evolution of the cloud and application infrastructure. You will collaborate with other departments to evolve the infrastructure to follow application evolutions and meet business goals. You will collaborate with the DevOps team to manage the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment of the application on the cloud. You will be engaged by the other team members for support in any cloud or client infrastructure issues or decisions.

 

Main Tasks and Activities:

  • Identify management and control automations of the cloud solution both internally and for customers
  • Define and monitor compliance with cloud specifications shared with customers
  • Provide support to the Compliance function to apply what is necessary to obtain company certifications (e.g. ISO) both on the technology and process side
  • Support the Sales and Pre-sales function by helping it to sizing the application infrastructure based on the requirements set by the project and respecting the customer’s needs. Also make yourself available to be engaged to explain the cloud solution to the customer and to answer any questions about it
  • Support colleagues in application and infrastructure troubleshooting on advanced issues both internally and customer-side
  • Support in managing all activities related to the evolution of the application architecture and help define the technology roadmap
  • Helping to ensure that the cloud infrastructure remains in line with the company’s policies, creating a Cloud Adoption strategy and helps in the deployment
  • Support the cloud migration process by analysing business needs and selecting the most appropriate technologies, based on an in-depth knowledge of the cloud market
  • Participate in all cloud operations activities, implementing all possible automations
  • Working closely with R&D and Product Management to create and manage scalable software services
  • Create and manage CI/CD strategies for the purpose of managing cloud applications in coordination with the DevOps department
  • Control the integrity of data processed by cloud applications, both by applying appropriate authorisations and setting up backup procedures
  • Design contingency plans for cloud solutions, implementing backup/restore and disaster recovery systems
  • Measure and monitor application performance by proposing improvement actions.
  • Support the Cloud Manager in the technological and infrastructural advancement of the cloud thanks to his knowledge of cloud paradigms and technologies.

 

The ideal candidate will have gained the key below skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in computer science
  • Previous working experience as IT Specialist or Cloud Engineer with at least 4 years of experience
  • Advanced general IT knowledge
  • Knowledge of Azure (or other public clouds)
  • Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
  • Knowledge of major DBMS
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to organise work
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Customer relations skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language

  • Knowledge of automation and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of WildFly/JBoss
