We are looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer. Your main focus will be to support the implementation and management of both internal and customer cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for the creation, management, maintenance and troubleshooting of applications, virtual machines, networks on the cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the Customer Success department for the creation and maintenance of the customer infrastructure and with the Pre Sales department for the sizing of the customer infrastructure in order to assess and optimize its economic impact.
Main Tasks and Activities:
- Monitor compliance with the cloud specifications shared with customers
- Support the Sales and Pre-sales function by helping it to sizing the application infrastructure on the basis of the requirements set by the project and respecting the customer’s needs. He also makes himself available to be engaged to explain the cloud solution to the customer and to answer any questions about it
- Support other team members in application and infrastructure troubleshooting on both the internal and customer clouds
- Support the enterprise cloud migration process
- Managing all cloud operations activities, implementing all possible automations
- Provide support in applying contingency plans for cloud solutions, taking care of backup/restore and disaster recovery systems
- Supporting application and infrastructure performance monitoring activities by proactively responding to any possible issues
The ideal candidate will have gained the key below skills:
- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in computer science
- Basic knowledge of Azure (or other public clouds)
- Basic knowledge of Docker and containers
- Basic knowledge of networking
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
- Basic knowledge of security concepts
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to relate to colleagues
- Good knowledge of English (minimum level B1)
