Management and control of Consignment (or Concession) agreements

A Consignment agreement is an agreement between a consignee and consignor for transfer, sale or resale of goods. The consignee sells consignment stock goods, subject to payment to the consignor agreeably to the terms bargained in the consignment agreement. Typically, the consignee receives a percentage of sales revenues as commission (or viceversa) or pays a fee or rent to use dedicated corners in the consignees stores. The unsold goods will normally be returned by the consignee to the consignor.

Akeron, by means of Akeron Tp, a dedicated software for calculation of rebates and discounts, has implemented a solution for the management of Consignment (or Concession) Agreements. The system is capable of managing the entire contractual process both in the more generic cases, in which a commission is calculated upon the sales of the consignors goods in one or more points of sales, and when a fee is payed when the reseller rents a corner or space in his stores. Akeron Tp calculates a wide range of contractual conditions, from fixed percentages to target objectives and growth conditions or simple fixed fees. It is possible to configure calculation bases to filter on all possible dimensions setup in the application, such as merchandise master data, brands, categories or stores, clusters, vendors and so on. Akeron Tp allows a specific control, both for consignee and consignor, of point of sales and merchandise categories, connected to the dimensions of dedicated in-store areas and/or location of stores.
